Why is completing a Level 2 Food Safety-Caterers-Retailers-Manufacturers important for food safety?  The main reasons for food poisoning are ignorance, negligence poor management and failing to have structured systems in place to ensure good practice is implemented. Once you have completed this course, you will have the necessary information to control food safety hazards and if you apply the knowledge you have gained within the food business, then you will fulfil your responsibilities under the law and you should not be responsible for causing a food poisoning outbreak.

These include premises hygiene, personal hygiene, risk control, pest control and waste management.  As a food handler your responsibility is to learn about the potential hazards, controls and monitoring procedures associated with the tasks you undertake on a daily basis within your job, from delivery to services.

This Level 2 Food Safety course is about minimising the level of potential hazards in a food retail setting.

The Level 2 Food Safety – Caterers, Retailers, Manufacturer are designed to meet the requirements of food handlers working in catering and/or hospitality which includes hotels, restaurants, cafes, bars, fast food outlets, mobile food outlets, takeaways, cafes, kitchens, hospitals, schools, colleges, manufacturers and retailers.

The course gives learners a basic but  thorough awareness of what constitutes good hygiene and safety issues and meets food industry regulations, with reference to employees preparing, cooking and handling food in catering, retail and manufacturing environments.

Our Level 2 Food Safety courses have been developed by industry specialist.

Once you have completed all of the Level 2 Food Safety online training material you will be able to take the online assessment. You will be asked a selection of multiple choice questions with a pass mark of 75%. The answers are marked instantly so you will know whether you have passed as soon as you finish. Once completed you will be able to download and print your certificate and as many as you like.

If you don’t pass the assessment you can review the course material and take the assessment again as many times as necessary at no extra cost to you.
