Level 1 Food Safety Courses (Retail, Catering and Manufacturing)

These Level 1 Food Safety courses are designed to improve the food safety knowledge and skills of learners and provide an understanding of the principles of food safety, and know how to apply the knowledge gained to prevent food poisoning and food complaints.  The level 1 Food Safety courses are for workers who do not handle or are involved in the preparation of high risk or pre-packaged foods.  This includes, but is not limited to: front of house employees, checkout staff, bar workers, kitchen porters, cleaners.
Three Level 1 Food Safety courses are available, each with their own set of modules; Level 1 Food Safety in Retail, Catering and Manufacturing Industry.

 Assessment

Once you have completed all of the Level 1 Food Safety online training material you will be able to take the online assessment. You will be asked a selection of multiple choice questions with a pass mark of 75%. The answers are marked instantly so you will know whether you have passed as soon as you finish. Once completed you will be able to download and print your certificate and as many as you like
Online / distance courses (no attendance) – You have 7 days to be able to cancel online/distance bookings made through Pennine Training Services. If you don’t pass, don’t worry! You can take the test as many times as you need at no extra cost to you.
